Try Google Transliteration bot
If in gtalk or pidgin or trillian ,in any instant messengers where you can connect google account for chatting , chatting has become more easier and comfortable and userfriendly and even indical , that is you can now even chat in mothertongue with cool Google Transliteration BOT ! This cool BOT can help you with automatic, quick transliterations, converting the Roman characters that you type into your chat to Indic characters. Transliteration lets you type Indic words phonetically in English script and still have them appear in their correct alphabet.
Currently supported indic languages are just 5 ,but i hope they will soon add more
For example, if you send
"Namaste"
to en2hi.translit@bot.talk.google.com (English to Hindi),
it will respond with
"नमस्ते"

NOTE : This is not the same as translation. The sound of the words are converted from one alphabet to the other, not their meaning.

Mines marathi , but despite marathi is largely spoken after hindi , right now marathi bot does not exist ,hope they are currently making ;)

thnx for informatin ,i was using google translate from log time ,but not all languages are supported n it
google translate is good but not for google chat and only hindi is available from indic language ,so google transliteration bot is sure shot a bog shot ;)
google translate is good,but im still not that impressed..hopefully there will be better soon
I dont like how not all languages are supported but im sure they will fix that ASAP..other then that its a good program
Google translate is good but he has not curretly doing.i was checking my (http://www.topcarbuy.com) in Google translater.and i was seleted English to Hindi but he has show me syntex word

i appreciate google bot but this is very similar to google translate ,just that its available in 5 languages but better than yahoo which has no bot lol despite it being the first instant messenger of its kind

It is okay but i usually face the problem with proper grammar and language but if i try to write it properly in english then it translates pretty good. It is not good if we write for a query in short words.

i like to use the google translator but there are always some little problems, there's nothing better than a human help!!
