Google showing options to search other search engines

You need to open this image in a new tab to see it clearly ! idea
During googling my blog QWERTYWEB i just saw this notice :

Try your search on Yahoo, Ask, AllTheWeb, Live, Lycos, Technorati, Wikipedia, Bloglines, Altavista, A9, GoodSearch

Google is driving lots of traffic and promoting search engines ! eek

Even rival Bing and Yahoo , idonno why , maybe it has done an agreement or shows this option because i got DO YOU MEAN " QWERTY " ? because qwerty is common word and more popular !

But no !
Even when i googled GOOGLE , i still saw same notice notice ,
strange confused

But at any cost Google will still be the giant in cyberwworld lol

I just tried a search like this and didn't see it. I can't imagine Google would want to promote their competition? The only thing I can think of is they are afraid the government might file some sort of anti-trust case.

However, that's even unlikely because they still have competition. While the competition is far behind, they still have it nonetheless.

That is very strange that you got that on your search.

This is good post,
I just tried a search like this and not see him. I can not imagine that Google wants to promote its competition? All I can think of is that they are afraid that the government may present any antitrust trial.

That's very weird.

Considering Google is possibly one of the brightest companies in the world I don't think they're doing this for nothing, possibly a share of any ad revenue from the other search engines?

Still a very strange tactic.

I like this great list. This post is very helpful for me. I will come back here soon.

I think they are showing their rival search engine because they want to show that they have a better result page than other search engine. I think it is a strategy also from a marketing point of view. That's only my opinion.

I have not encountered this issue as of yet. I find it hard to believe that Google Engineers / tech team have made such an error - I´m sure they have a reason behind it. Even if it was such an error, it wouldn´t exactly be a serious threat to Google SE domination.

You're right. Google is still the king of Search Engines. They'r other applications are the best like Gmail, it has googledocs that others don't have. Way to go for Google!

Overlap studies show that more than 80% of the pages in a major search engine's database exist only in Google.
