Adsense updates Default ad font faces
Looking for new ways to earn more with adsense with text ads ? 
Now even link ads will create a unique impression on readers 
as Adsense have updated new feature in ad format ! 
The font styles !
This upcoming change will only affect ad units in Latin-based characters which have 'AdSense default' selected as the font face.
Currently, most ad units set to the AdSense default font face are displayed in Arial, with a few in Verdana. Here are the new default font faces Adsense launched
Arial: 728x90, 336x280, 120x600, 120x240
Verdana: 300x250, 160x600, 468x60, 250x250, 234x60, 125x125, 180x150
Times New Roman: 200x200
Publishers can now start experimenting on style the ad appears to determine the best font faces for ad units and sites. Just sign in to your account to manually select specific font faces on an ad unit or account-level basis.
But this wont mean that revenue will increase all of a sudden ,
but this will sure create calm or better eye pleasing ad as well as unique representation and variety in blog !Source

I was rather excited when I saw this option a couple of weeks back, and ended up choosing the default anyway!
better would have been if adsense would have bought back adsense referrals and video units which were the most worth monetizing
Adsense in google looks like an easy way of earning online, but from the bottom it takes an effort to climb on top and from the top maintaining to be there will be easier because all the lessons were learned. Other ads will be and additional income as you said. Thanks for your info.
Adsense in google is beautiful looks and I think it is brilliant opportunity of earning the money online.

I agree with the post above .. wish they would bring back the video ads.. although I can't complain .. google adsense is definately the best ad revenue. I made more in a day with Google Adsense than adbrite in a month.

This new font-changing facility is helping me along with a lot of other adsense publishers to increase their revenue. It is a very good initiative from Google.

Adsense is still a good way to monetize a website, if you can "blend" adsense ads into the design of the website, that is. Sometimes a little change such as changing fonts will have large impacts on the revenue.
