Get speedier, spiffier latest version of Google Chrome beta

Google chrome released a new beta 3.0 on 8/05/2009 . Not only is it speedier than ever, but also the browser is given a little bit of cool design whimsy making it eye pleasing and attractive with good color and delight .

  • It is filled with more user friendly and advanced options and tremendous updates like
  • customizable New Tab page
  • improved Omnibox
  • cool funky basic themes that allow you to deck out your browser with colors, patterns and images.
  • HTML5 capabilities into this release, as well as a few other nifty technical improvements that will help Google Chrome make the most of your network connection.
There are three update channels
  • Stable channel. Everyone is on the Stable channel when they first install Google Chrome. The Stable channel is updated with features and fixes once they have been throughly tested in the Beta channel. If you want a rock solid browser but don't need the latest features, the Stable channel is for you.
  • Beta channel. People who like to use and help refine the latest features subscribe to the Beta channel. Every month or so, we promote stable and complete features from the Dev channel to the Beta channel. The Beta channel is more stable than Dev, but may lack the polish one expects from a finished product.
  • Developer preview channel. The Dev channel is where ideas get tested (and sometimes fail). The Dev channel can be very unstable at times, and new features usually require some manual configuration to be enabled. Still, simply using Dev channel releases is an easy (practically zero-effort) way for anyone to help improve Google Chrome.
However if you want more advanced updates , you may opt for Dev channel ,and get updates earlier than stable or BETA versions !

Great. But why do Chrome has it's Google services within windows? (The google crash handler and such) Which eats so much system resources.

Looks interesting, will have to go download it and test it out. I just can't wait for Google Chrome to support plugins like Firefox, hopefully retaining it's speed and performance when it does.

Finally! The themes are here. Next thing we know, the Chrome will have a plethora of plugins and add-ons like Firefox has. My only gripe about Chrome though is that in my experience, it's a resource hog T_T. Of course, an upgrade of my system would fix that problem. :D

I believe too that Chrome has a change against Firefox, but we'll have to see how hard habits die.
