Twitter gets a new homepage
On 28th july ,2009 when i opened twitter , i was shocked to see a different webpage ,i checked and rechecked the url and finally understood they have redesigned front page , lol
The earlier tag-line or description whatever was
“Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co-workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?and now is has changed to
“Share and discover what’s happening right now, anywhere in the world”
If you're a regular around these parts, then you won't notice the new look unless you sign out of your account. Helping people access Twitter in more relevant and useful ways upon first introduction lowers the barrier to accessing the value Twitter has to offer and presents the service more consistently with how it has evolved.
According to twitters official blog ,
We'll likely continue to make changes to the Twitter home page as we respond to feedback and ideas. We're eager to see if encouraging a sense of wonder and discovery leads to a better first impression of Twitter.
I personally didnt like the new look ,coz i used 2 like cool , cute twitter bird icon ,now it has become more smaller and insane ,hehe ,and the page has become more blank ,
The front page has popular topics by minute ,time and day ,which used to display only after logging , hope they again change it ,this time ,more better and more not so empty

I think it looks much better than the old one - better text too.
Yeah I absolutely love the new design. They did not change it drastically but improved it and now it is amazing.
the colour combination blue ,dark violet looks weird ,theres no video ,in earlier homepage ,there was link to video

Looks tasty :) Too bad its only the homepage though, I was kinda hoping for a full redesign.

Twitter's new page is looking good..... must say its color combination is perfect with that which i always find in every site is.. clean, neat, simple but yet gives classy look... and i must congratulate to the designer of this site who have kept all these in mind while designing this page.....

earlier twitter was looking professional ,this new one is not
I like the facelift. I looks way better. I agree though that it should be applied sitewide.

the new twitter is not new , not much news was created after this new look , nobody liked that and hated too ,coz just homepage b4 signin in was changd ,rest is as it is
wonder when will google take over twitter so that i can sign with my google id , i hope facebook will not take it over google lol
Yeah, I noticed the new homepage of Twitter too. I think it looks good. But the previous one isn't so bad either. :D
