Download Firefox 3.6 Alpha 1 now
The first developer milestone of the next release of Firefox – code named Namoroka Alpha 1 – is now available for download.
Namoroka is built on pre-release version of the Gecko 1.9.2 platform, which forms the core of rich internet applications such as Firefox.
This Alpha of Namoroka / Gecko 1.9.2 introduces several new features:
- Compositor (Phase 1), which moves Gecko to using one native widget per top-level content document.
- A new focus model, described here and tracked in bug 178324
- The chromedir attribute has been replaced with a pseudoclass
- Several new CSS3 properties including background size and gradients for background images
- Speed improvements to the TraceMonkey JavaScript engine
- Startup and responsiveness improvements throughout the application
These features make this browser more efficient in loading speedier
But not all add ons work on this version , and the experimental add ons doesn't work at all
Better is to install in separate folder and try out , instead of upgrading to alpha ,as you will definitely need the old 3.5 version back and if directly updates ,this would require again uninstallation and again downloading setup and installing .

Though the New look is slight bit more eye pleasing and looks more professional and decorative that is more smooth and aeroish type , and with plus increased speed and other features , but it cannot handle old genuine and new experimental add ons . maybe better is to wait for beta ;)

FIREFOX 3.5 just came a week ago , ff4 will require almost an year ,till IE9 could come LOL
horaay for Fire Fox this is really neat they now support CSS3 and this is really good for the designers scrap IE use Fire Fox people :D

but please check if your addons is compatible or not first, its very important things to think before upgrading !
I downloaded firefox, however a lot of the plug-ins I use don't seem to be compatible with the new version. :( Will stay with 3.0 until this gets fixed.

I'll give it a try when on the next update. Most of my plug-ins are used while working and I can't do without them. Thanks for the heads up though!

I am using mozilla from quiet a long time and always looking forward for the new updates. Thanks for the update. Just downloaded it. :)
I would say it is way to early to download it now. We will receive a normal version pretty soon, so we just need to wait a little bit. Bug reporting is not the best type of occupation for your free time.
I really like the new edition.
I hope firefox got to fix this add-on problems in Alpha 1 version 3.6 because I use a lot of this add-ons for my work. Gotta stay with 3.5 until this problem is fixed. Anyway, thanks for sharing this! Great post!
